For early career nutrition graduates establishing careers at home
These grants are designed to support early-career nutritionists who have recently completed their doctoral studies in developed countries as they embark on their professional journeys back in their home countries.
How to Apply
Application Requirements:
- Completed application form (download via link below)
- Supporting letter from main thesis supervisor
- Supporting letter from employer in home country
- Letter from the applicant indicating:
- How grant funds would be applied
- How the applicant would support the activities of the Nutrition Society/Adhering Body in their home country
Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must come from countries which are Adhering Bodies of IUNS and are in good standing. To verify your country’s status, please contact the IUNS Secretariat at: office@iuns.org
- Applicants must be returning to work in a country within Africa, Asia, or Latin America.
- Applicants must have completed their doctoral training in nutrition science within the last two years.
Desirable Criteria:
- Applicants intending to work in an area compatible with IUNS Task Force activities upon re-integration will be given some special preference. More information on IUNS Task Forces can be found on this website.
Successful applicants are required to submit a report to IUNS within one year, detailing how the grant was utilized. This report should also highlight the benefits derived from the grant in terms of reintegrating into their home country and establishing a new career path.
