Scientific Project Manager
The International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) is a non-profit, worldwide foundation established in 1978 to advance the understanding of scientific issues relating to nutrition, food safety, toxicology and the environment. By bringing together scientists from academia, government and industry, ILSI seeks to improve the well being of the general public. Today, ILSI enjoys the support of hundreds of companies worldwide and a large network of scientists throughout the world. The European Branch of ILSI (www.ilsi.eu) is based in Brussels, Belgium. Its team comprises 24 persons of eight nationalities.
Do you fit the following profile?
- BSc, MSc or PhD in life sciences (dietetics, nutrition, biology, etc)
- Experience in project management
- Flexible, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent command of English.
Task overview
Assist in coordinating of European Commission project activities (e.g. www.eurreca.org):
- Organise meetings with the project partners and leaders, assist in developing the agenda, writing the minutes and manage follow-up of these meetings
- Coordinate EC review reports and process, including reminding contributors of their duties, manuscript assembly and compilation, quality and content control of reports and deliverables.
- Organise scientific workshops, assist in developing the programme and the list of participants
- Keep up to date with consortium changes and requests
- Represent the project or the institute in any relevant event when needed
